About the event

About the speaker:

Tobias Wilsch studied philosophy in Munich and St Andrews and began his doctoral studies at the Australian National University. After a postdoctoral appointment in Sweden, he joined the University of Tübingen as Akademischer Rat (2016–2025). During this time, he served for three semesters as interim professor at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, led a research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) as principal investigator, and completed his habilitation. He is currently a Heisenberg Fellow funded by the DFG, one of Germany’s most prestigious funding programs, designed to support outstanding researchers on the path to a full professorship by providing independent research funding and academic freedom to establish their own research agenda.
